On September 16, the 7th Nantong Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering Industry Expo opened at the Nantong International Conference Center. Held under the theme “Smart Manufacturing Leads the Way, Connecting the World,” the exhibition was organized by the Nantong Municipal People’s Government, the China Shipbuilding Industry Association, and the Tongtai-Yangzhou National Advanced Manufacturing Cluster for High-Tech Ships and Offshore Engineering Equipment. Focusing on “high-end development, branding, internationalization, and specialization,” the event spanned a total area of 32,000 square meters and featured over 600 participating companies, showcasing the latest achievements in the shipbuilding and offshore engineering equipment sectors.
Seaward X Technologies showcased several of its core products and engaged in in-depth discussions with industry clients and official platforms.
At the exhibition, Seaward X Technologies showcased its independently developed SX-1311 and other solid-state marine navigation radars, as well as its series of small phased-array radars.

Solid-state marine navigation radars are widely compatible with various types of vessels, including fishing boats, merchant ships, cargo ships, cruise ships, engineering vessels, and government vessels; shore-based radars can be deployed at key locations in ports, waterways, and along coastlines to build an integrated land-sea monitoring system. Meanwhile, small phased-array radars are designed for marine aquaculture protection scenarios, enabling all-weather security monitoring of aquaculture areas.
With multiple products covering scenarios ranging from navigation to security, the company has fully demonstrated its technical expertise and product development capabilities in the field of solid-state radar.
The marine navigation radar market has long been dominated by established foreign manufacturers such as Japan’s Furuno, resulting in a high degree of reliance on imported key equipment and posing potential risks such as supply chain security and data breaches. Leveraging its proprietary core technologies, Seaward X Technologies has achieved independent R&D in key areas such as solid-state transmission, signal processing, and clutter suppression. The localization rate of core components has continued to rise, effectively breaking through the technological barriers imposed by foreign manufacturers.
At the exhibition, numerous customers expressed strong interest in and recognition of the company’s various products.

During the exhibition, classification societies, maritime authorities, shipowners, shipyards, and industry chain clients held multiple specialized matchmaking sessions to engage in in-depth discussions regarding the application needs of solid-state radar in scenarios such as inland waterway shipping, deep-sea fishing vessels, offshore aquaculture farms, and satellite communications.

All parties fully acknowledged the company’s technical expertise and product maturity in the solid-state radar field. In particular, the SX-1311’s stable detection performance and reliable operation under complex sea conditions earned unanimous praise from numerous shipowners and industry experts.
Several organizations expressed clear intentions to collaborate on-site and reached consensus on matters such as product adaptation, bulk procurement, joint testing, and follow-up technical coordination, laying a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation.

During the exhibition, Meng Linghua, Director of the Marine Business Division at Seaward X Technologies, was invited to an interview by Nantong Television. She stated that the company has consistently adhered to full-stack in-house R&D and has achieved breakthroughs in key areas such as solid-state transmission, signal processing, clutter suppression, and low-Earth orbit satellite communications, with product quality on par with leading international brands.
In the future, the company will leverage its phased-array radar production base in Nantong to accelerate the industrialization of marine navigation radars, shore-based radars, and small phased-array radars, thereby providing strong support for the self-reliance and controllability of marine and offshore engineering equipment.
Li Tingfeng, Chief Radar Engineer, was also invited to be interviewed by the <Nantong Daily>, where he provided a systematic explanation of the solid-state radar technology roadmap, product R&D progress, and the path toward domestic substitution.

This concentrated media attention not only highlights Seaward X Technologies technical capabilities in the field of domestically produced solid-state radar but also provides strong brand support for the company to further expand into the marine and offshore engineering markets and deepen industry collaboration.
Looking ahead, Seaward X Technologies will continue to focus on the research and development of solid-state radar technology. By delivering higher-performance, more reliable domestically produced products, the company will help ensure the autonomy and control of China’s marine and offshore engineering equipment and make a solid contribution to building China into a maritime power.
